Microsoft has big plans for Windows and AI, but other companies are also utilizing AI, and Windows might get a new competitor.

It seems Lenovo is working on its own AI operating system, and we might see it sooner than we think!

Lenovo’s AI-powered operating system is coming this year

According to TechRadar, it appears that Lenovo is developing an AI-powered operating system. This was hinted at during CES 2024, by Lenovo’s executive vice president Liu Jun.

This move comes as no surprise since Lenovo has announced its plan for full-stack intelligence in the past.

According to Liu Jun, this new OS will be built around multi-terminal products, and it will focus on AI PCs and personal agents.

The company is planning to release AI PCs in the first half of this year, and these devices will have multi-modal natural language interaction capabilities.

There are also plans for AI-powered smart terminals, and we expect to see them soon as well.

While this is exciting news, it remains to be seen how will this new operating system compare to Windows.

Speaking of Lenovo devices, Lenovo is working on a transparent laptop and a new Lenovo Tab Plus. Who knows, maybe these will be the first devices with the new AI-powered operating system.
