Locked Gate Event Returns in ARC Raiders Cold Snap Update 1.7.0
The long-awaited Cold Snap Update for ARC Raiders has officially arrived, and it delivers more than just a visual refresh. Alongside snowy weather conditions, update 1.7.0 marks the return of a fan-favorite activity that raises both risk and reward.
Locked Gate event returns in Cold Snap update
The Locked Gate event has made its comeback in ARC Raiders with the Cold Snap update. The event appears exclusively on the Blue Gate map and requires players to manually select it as a map modifier before deploying.
Once active, the Locked Gate opens access to hidden underground areas packed with high-tier loot. These zones contain rare weapons, valuable blueprints, and other premium rewards that rarely spawn elsewhere.
How to unlock the Locked Gate
To open the gate, players must collect four security codes scattered across Blue Gate. Each code spawns in a fixed region, encouraging full-map exploration:
- Ancient Fort in the eastern section
- Pilgrim’s Peak in the southern area
- Raider’s Refuge in the western region
- Reinforced Reception in the northern section
After collecting all codes, players must head to the Gate Control Room inside the Warehouse Complex to unlock the underground area.
Higher risk, higher reward gameplay
The event increases tension by limiting escape options. Normal Return Points are reduced, Raider Hatches remain disabled, and multiple enemy groups guard the control room and underground sections.
Bobcat SMG blueprint makes a return
One of the standout rewards includes the Bobcat SMG blueprint, previously considered extremely rare. Community reports suggest the blueprint spawns randomly in high-value containers during the Locked Gate event, with no guaranteed location. Underground rooms and fortified areas on Blue Gate seem to offer the best chances.
For players seeking a tougher challenge and top-tier rewards, the Locked Gate event offers one of ARC Raiders’ most demanding experiences yet.
