What to do if I can’t install MT4/ MT5 on macOS?

1.Use MetaTrader 4 web version

  1. Download and install PlayOnMac software.
  2. Start the installation and follow the instructions on the screen.
  3. Make sure to select Please download XQuartz for me option.

  4. Follow instructions on the screen. If you do everything correctly, your Mac should restart.
  5. Once the computer restarts, start PlayOnMac from the setup file again.
  6. Necessary fonts for Windows will now be installed.
  7. Once the installation is finished, PlayOnMac should start automatically.
  8. Optional: Click on Tools > Manage Wine versions and select the latest version of Wine available.

Now you just need to download and install MetaTrader 5 by following these steps:

  1. Visit the MetaTrader 5 website and download the client.
  2. Once you download it, double-click it.
  3. PlayOnMac will now start and run the setup.
  4. Once the Setup is finished, you can start MetaTrader 5 from PlayOnMac.
