If you’re looking for a no-compromise gaming laptop, MAINGEAR’s new ULTIMA 18 is about as close to a desktop as it gets. The company just announced its most powerful laptop yet, built in partnership with CLEVO, and packed with top-tier specs across the board.

At the center is an 18-inch 4K (3840×2400) display with a 200Hz refresh rate, full DCI-P3 color, and G-SYNC support. It’s powered by Intel’s Core Ultra 9 275HX chip and goes up to NVIDIA’s mobile RTX 5090 GPU with 24GB of GDDR7.
According to MAINGEAR, the ULTIMA 18 supports up to 192GB of DDR5 RAM, PCIe Gen 5 SSDs, and runs on a 98Wh battery with a compact 330W charger; there’s also USB-C charging.
Storage maxes out at four M.2 slots (one Gen5x4, three Gen4x4), and connectivity includes two Thunderbolt 5 ports, HDMI 2.1, dual 2.5 Gb LAN ports, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4. There’s also a 5MP Windows Hello camera with IR and a dedicated Copilot key on the keyboard.
Sound is powered by five onboard speakers and Sound Blaster Studio Pro 2. The system also features NVIDIA Advanced Optimus to switch between integrated and discrete graphics on the fly.
The ULTIMA 18 starts at $3,599 and is available now via maingear.com with both prebuilt and customizable options.
