Dragon Dogma 2

Dragon’s Dogma 2 was just released on Microsoft Windows devices, Xbox Series S, and X, and PlayStation 5, a few hours ago, and the game is already breaking records on Steam, amassing 173,000 players, according to this X (formerly known as Twitter) post.

The game has become Capcom’s highest concurrent user peak record for a single-player game, beating out Resident Evil 4 and Village, according to the post.

Dragon’s Dogma 2, which is out today, 22 of March, is the sequel to the 2012 cult classic Dragon Dogma, and it’s inspired by games such as Devil May Cry; its high fantasy setting, as well as its breathtaking graphics at the time, made it quite popular at the time.

Now, 12 years after it, Dragon’s Dogma 2 is here. We previously reported that the game was already available to preload on Xbox and PlayStation 5, with one of our colleagues managing to pre-install the game on their Xbox consoles.

However, that doesn’t mean they could just access it. Pre-installing lets users install the game in advance, but the game will be available for playing on the release day.
