Meta Launches Muse for Small Business With Shopify, QuickBooks, and Slack Support

Earlier this month, Meta launched Muse AI Agent, and less than a month later, the service reached 700,000 daily users. Now, Meta is expanding the AI agent with a version aimed specifically at small businesses.

Meta has announced Muse for Small Business, giving business owners an AI agent that can connect to their existing services and help manage everyday operations.

Muse can connect to business accounts and customer data

Muse for Small Business can connect to Instagram professional accounts, Facebook Pages, Meta ad accounts, online storefronts, accounting platforms, and customer records.

Meta says the AI agent can learn about a company’s products, brand voice, and common customer questions. This allows Muse to use information from across the business when helping owners complete tasks.

The company is positioning Muse as more than a standalone chatbot. The agent can work across services that businesses already use instead of requiring owners to manually move information between different platforms.

Muse supports Shopify, QuickBooks, Slack, and more

Muse includes connectors for a range of popular business services, including Shopify, QuickBooks, Stripe, Slack, Asana, Canva, Dropbox, Notion, and Zoom.

Businesses that rely on services Meta does not officially support can also create custom connectors.

The integrations could allow Muse to access information from different parts of a business and use it when helping with routine tasks. However, Meta says the agent will not publish content, send messages, or spend money without the user’s approval.

That restriction keeps actions such as posting content or making financial decisions under the owner’s control rather than allowing Muse to complete them automatically.

Muse for Small Business is currently limited to the US and Canada

Muse for Small Business is currently available for free in the United States and Canada, although Meta says some limitations apply.

Meta describes Muse for Small Business as one of its most important products for what the company calls the “era of personal superintelligence.”

The expansion also comes as Meta continues refining how Muse operates. In other news, a recent report revealed changes to Muse AI’s human involvement during testing.
