Microsoft acknowledges the issue with the emoji panel vanishing in Windows 11, and it's working on a fix

Last week, Microsoft rolled out a new Windows 11 build for Insiders in the Dev Channel. This wasn’t just any update; it was built number 26120.1350, packed with exciting changes like an AirDrop-esque file-sharing feature between PCs and Android phones and much-needed fixes for the Task Manager and Windows Sandbox.

However, Microsoft seems to have uncovered a bug in this build that might have you scratching your head if you’re a fan of expressing yourself with emojis. Apparently, the emoji panel disappears when users try switching to the kaomoji and symbols sections or after selecting an emoji. It’s a minor hiccup that Microsoft is already on the case to fix.

Now, you might be thinking, “Should I be worried?” The answer is a comforting no. This emoji panel bug, while annoying, isn’t a deal-breaker, especially when you consider the nature of preview builds. They’re essentially test drives for new features, and bumps in the road are to be expected.

That said, avoiding using these builds on devices you rely on daily for work or essential tasks is always wise. After all, no one wants their Task Manager to crash when they’re in the middle of something crucial, right?
