Microsoft Bookings SMS notifications

Premium Microsoft Teams users will soon be getting a new option that will allow them to set up SMS notifications in Microsoft Bookings to remind users who booked an appointment about upcoming meetings, according to the latest entry in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap.

Microsoft Booking currently supports SMS notifications only when the appointment is scheduled, but with this new feature, the platform will notify users via SMS to confirm the meetings and it will remind them constantly as the date of the meeting approaches,

If you have a Microsoft Teams Premium license you can now set up SMS text notifications in Microsoft Bookings to be sent to the person booking an appointment. Currently, SMS notifications will be sent only when appointments are scheduled by an attendee via a published booking page. With this update, the capability is extended to include sending SMS confirmations and reminders to the attendee when appointments are booked through the calendar scheduling experience in Bookings by a scheduler or a staff member.

Microsoft

The Redmond-based tech giant recently unveiled two exciting new options for Teams Premium users: the new Programmatic Desktop Sharing which allows them to share only parts of their screen in a presentation, and it could be useful in situations where the presentation focuses on one specific product or service.

The other feature is the new Queues app, which could potentially change the way those working in customer support engage with customers: the new app will provide a relatively stress-free experience when dealing with difficult customers as more customer support agents can join the call to solve the issues as quickly as possible.

Both these features, along with the new SMS notifications will be coming to Teams Premium users in May and June, and overall, they will improve the experience of using the platform when working.
