Microsoft is planning to advertise Copilot during the Super Bowl weekend. The 60-second ad, titled Watch Me, was released on YouTube. It highlights how Microsoft’s AI-powered Copilot will break all boundaries and help us achieve what was previously considered out of the question.

In the official Microsoft blog, Yusuf Mehdi, Executive Vice President and Consumer Chief Marketing Officer, announced the launch of the Super Bowl ad.

While the ad is a brilliant piece of work, there’s a lot more we can’t miss. To celebrate Copilot’s first-year anniversary, Microsoft is introducing better image creation capabilities in Copilot and will roll out more features for Copilot Pro subscribers.

But what caught our attention was the fact Microsoft is shifting its attention from Bing Chat to Copilot.

Is Copilot getting more focus than Bing?

Released just a year ago, Bing Chat, Microsoft’s first foray into AI, seems to have taken a backseat. It’s now more focused on Copilot.

With a dedicated app for Android and iOS devices, integration in the Windows taskbar, and deployment in several Microsoft apps, Copilot is practically everywhere.

It appears Bing Chat didn’t deliver on expectations. Though Bing’s user base has increased, it’s still far behind Google, which has a 91.47% market share. Bing, on the other hand, stands at 3.42%, as per the Statscounter search engine worldwide market share.

However, Microsoft hasn’t lost all hope. In an interview with The Verge, Mehdi says, “We’ve seen Bing’s share grow. Even a few points of share growth is significant for Microsoft and for customers to bring more competition.

From Feb’23 to Feb’24, Bing’s share increased from 2.81% to 3.42%.

At present, it looks like Microsoft Copilot is the way forward, and we could have more possible integrations and new features.
