Microsoft is adding Copilot support to many of its services, and according to the latest information, it seems that OneDrive might get even better.

Microsoft plans to enhance Copilot and OneDrive integration, so let’s see what Microsoft has in store for its users.

Microsoft is bringing Copilot in OneDrive to your file viewer

OneDrive is currently going through some changes, and features such as upload by URL in OneDrive are getting removed.

However, new features are on the horizon according to the MSPowerUser, and they should make Copilot in OneDrive available at your fingertips.

As stated in the Microsoft 365 roadmap, Copilot in OneDrive will be accessible from a file viewer in Microsoft 365.

This feature can be accessed with a click on the Copilot icon, and it will give users the ability to summarize or obtain various information from files in OneDrive or SharePoint.

However, it’s important to mention that this feature will be available only to customers with Copilot for Microsoft 365 license.

Regarding the availability, we expect the feature to start rolling out in April 2024. While this is great news for OneDrive users, if you’re not a fan of this service, Microsoft has added an easy way to remove OneDrive from your PC.
