microsoft word summarizing books

Microsoft has announced exciting updates to its Word application aimed at improving the summarization of lengthy documents, and one of the key updates is the ability to summarize documents up to 3,000 pages long, a significant increase from the previous limit of around 300 pages.

This tenfold improvement ensures that even the most extensive documents can be condensed into concise summaries, making it easier for users to grasp key points without sifting through thousands of pages.

In a blog post, Microsoft has introduced a new feature that allows users to toggle between different summary lengths. Users can now choose from Brief, Standard, and Detailed summaries. This flexibility caters to varying needs, whether users require a quick overview or a more comprehensive understanding of the document’s content.

These features are currently available in Word for the web and are rolling out to desktop users on Windows and Mac. To access these tools, users can navigate to the summary section at the top of their document or use the Copilot feature to generate a summary.

You can read more about it here.
