If you’re using Copilot inside the Microsoft 365 App on Windows, expect a new welcome screen from January onwards. According to a recent entry to Microsoft 365, the Redmond-based tech giant is considering updating the screen to display a welcome screen and progress bar while the other 365 apps load.
While we don’t know what exactly this updated welcome might look like, Copilot has recently been redesigned, and although users have not been well received by it, the new design has remained.
So, Copilot inside Microsoft 365 will most likely be updated to the same design to keep up with the tool’s overall theme.
Here’s what the entry says:
The Microsoft 365 app welcome screen on Windows will be updated to display a welcome message and progress bar while the Microsoft 365 app loads.
On the other hand, Copilot will also be enhanced to kickstart your documents with contextual prompts based on your recent activity. This means the AI model will use any file you recently opened to create prompts that would make it easier for you to work. Take, for example, a report or a plan for a project.
According to another recent entry to the Roadmap, this enhancement will also be available to users starting in January.
What do you think about the new design coming to Copilot in Microsoft 365? Would you like it if it’s similar to the current Copilot design?
