Microsoft recently pulled back an Edge update because it was causing issues for the users, but it seems that those issues have been resolved since a new update is upon us.
What does this update bring? Let’s dive right into it and see for ourselves.
The latest Microsoft Edge update improves stability and security improvements
We are all waiting to see these 3 experimental features added to Edge, but sadly, that’s not the case with this update.
Instead, this update focuses on security improvements according to Neowin, so it doesn’t have any new features, such as Ad Selection API.
According to release notes, the update addresses various bugs and performance issues. It also brings the latest security updates of the Chromium project, as well as Edge-specific security updates from the CVE-2024-26196 page.
Regarding reliability, this update fixes a crash that occurs when the BrowsingDataLifetime policy is enabled.
While this isn’t an exciting update, it beefs up your security and it fixes certain stability issues, so we encourage you to get it as soon as possible.
