Microsoft Edge Will Soon Let You Sign In With Apple ID

Microsoft Edge is getting Apple ID sign-in support as Microsoft continues expanding the browser beyond Microsoft accounts. The company recently added Google account sign-in support, and Apple accounts are next.

Microsoft confirmed the feature in the release notes for Edge Beta version 152.0.4191.10. Apple ID sign-in is already available for testing in Edge Canary version 153.0.4210.0.

Microsoft is using a controlled rollout, so the option may not appear for every tester immediately.

Apple ID sign-in appears in the Edge profile menu

When the feature becomes available, Edge shows an Apple button in the profile menu alongside the existing Google sign-in option.

Selecting it opens Apple’s authentication page, where users can sign in with their Apple ID. Users can also authenticate through an iPhone running iOS 17 or later.

Microsoft currently supports the feature on Windows and macOS. The company has not announced Apple ID sign-in for Edge on iPhone or iPad.

Edge Canary includes two Apple sign-in flags

Edge Canary currently includes two experimental flags tied to the feature.

The “Apple Sign-In Button on Profile Menu” flag adds the Apple option to Edge’s profile interface. The “Sign in with Apple” flag enables the underlying authentication functionality.

These flags give Canary users early access while Microsoft continues testing the feature ahead of a wider rollout.

Edge 152 is expected later in August

Microsoft Edge 152 is scheduled for release during the week of August 27, 2026. Edge 153 is expected to enter the Beta channel later in August.

Apple ID support is still rolling out gradually, so availability may differ between devices and installations.

Edge is not the only Microsoft service adding support for Apple accounts. Microsoft recently gave Bing the ability to sign in with Apple and Google accounts.

The company has also been reshaping its AI features across products, including renaming its AI search feature to AI Mode in Edge.
