Microsoft has started rolling out the long-awaited Unified Inbox feature for New Outlook on Windows, allowing users to manage emails from multiple accounts in a single view.

According to Microsoft 365 Message Center advisory MC1519843, the feature, officially called All Accounts view, began rolling out in late September 2026. Microsoft expects to complete the rollout by late October.

New Outlook’s Unified Inbox brings all accounts together

The All Accounts view combines messages from multiple email accounts into one inbox, removing the need to switch between accounts to check incoming emails.

Users can read, delete, move, and archive messages directly from the unified interface. However, the feature does not merge email accounts or their underlying data. Messages remain associated with their original accounts.

Microsoft is also adding Copilot integration to support AI-assisted email management. Users can access Search with Copilot to find messages, although this capability focuses on the primary account rather than searching across every connected inbox.

IT administrators can manage Unified Inbox settings

Microsoft will give IT administrators control over how the All Accounts view works within their organizations.

Administrators can decide whether to enable Unified Inbox by default and whether employees can change the setting themselves.

Since the feature only changes how Outlook displays messages without merging account data, Microsoft expects minimal impact on existing compliance policies.

The rollout should reach all eligible New Outlook users by the end of October 2026.

Microsoft has also recently fixed missing Copilot buttons in Outlook and revived the Send Availability feature to simplify meeting scheduling.

Meanwhile, the company is removing Copilot Themes from Outlook.
