Microsoft Forms will soon receive a new update that will allow users to create quizzes with time limits. The news comes from a recent update to the Microsoft 365 roadmap, which suggests that the “Timed quiz” feature is expected to arrive in January 2022.

With Timed quiz, Microsoft Forms will be able to set a time limit for respondents to complete a quiz, and once the time is up, it will be submitted automatically. The feature is aimed at Education customers, but the Microsoft 365 roadmap indicates that it’s also coming to business and GCC tenants. Google Forms has long offered similar functionality (via third-party add-ons), so it’s nice to see Microsoft Forms finally getting a native integration.

Overall, this new Timed quiz feature should be a welcome addition, and it can help to restrict respondents from looking up answers from other sources across the web. Microsoft Forms has recently added new organization capabilities, and you can find more details in our separate post.
