Microsoft is updating OneNote's Meeting Details to improve user efficiency

Microsoft is updating OneNote’s Meeting Details feature by integrating Teams’ intelligent meeting recap. The update is in the works and is available in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap under Feature ID 388747. It is worth noting that this feature will be available on desktops across Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant) cloud instances starting April 2024.

A new feature update is in the works and coming to Microsoft OneNote

Here’s what the new OneNote Meeting Details update will bring:

  • The basic details such as meeting date, description, and attendees, will automatically be added to the OneNote Meeting Details.
  • A summary of AI-generated notes with the key points discussed in the Teams meeting is said to be added to the OneNote Meeting Details.
  • Analyzing the Teams meeting, OneNote will suggest related tasks.
  • Any documents shared in the Teams meeting will be readily available in OneNote.

We believe that the motive behind the upcoming update is to improve user efficiency and workflow. That’s because the AI-generated notes will give users clarity about the topics discussed in the meetings. Additionally, the suggested tasks will allow users to follow up on the agendas of the meeting.

Moreover, users can access details about the meetings and documents shared in one place, eliminating the post-meeting hassle.
