Microsoft Loop 2.0 is here: New looks, new capabilities, and deeper integration with the 365 Suite

Microsoft has introduced Microsoft Loop 2.0, the latest platform version with a sleek, revamped UI and many improvements to enhance the user experience.
What’s new with Loop 2.0? It’s moved to a new URL, part of Microsoft’s broader effort to streamline access to its online services. This means no more pesky sign-in prompts, redirects, and delays that sometimes make online work feel tiring.
The new UI offers a clean and simple design that makes navigating the app a breeze. A new navigation menu on the left puts your meeting notes, favourites, recent items, and more at your fingertips.
Microsoft Loop 2.0 also introduced a new Create button at the top left that lets users create workspaces and draft ideas from anywhere in the app.
Adding Loop Components, pages, or ideas to a workspace has also been simplified. Users can do this directly from the breadcrumb at the top, either adding them to existing workspaces or creating new ones on the fly. And for those who rely heavily on Microsoft Teams for collaboration, all your Collaborative Meeting Notes are now neatly organized under the Meeting Notes tab.
The Redmond-based tech giant has also modified the Favorites and Recent tabs on the navigation bar. It’s now easier to switch between your go-to workspaces in the Microsoft Loop app, and the Recent tab is also helpful for accessing your Loop pages and components across Microsoft 365.
Microsoft Loop 2.0 is being rolled out, so it might be unavailable to many users now, but it will be soon. The company has posted a thread on X (formerly known as Twitter, describing all the new capabilities coming to the platform).
Microsoft recently updated Loop to allow admins to enable guest sharing, which allows people outside of the organization to participate in a project. It’s safe to say this capability will still be in the platform’s new version.
