In part due to Microsoft’s global sales force reorganisation, which is aimed at cementing the company’s focus on cloud services, the Chief Information Officer, Jim DuBois, has left the company, and is being replaced by a new role – Chief Digital Officer – to be taken up by Kurt DelBene.

Microsoft and Baidu partner to bring AI powered vehicles to the automotive market

Speaking of AI, this week saw a new partnership between Microsoft and Baidu. With this partnership, the company’s hope to bring AI-powered vehicles to the automotive market, specifically in the self-driving vehicle area, as part of Baidu’s Apollo driverless car project.
