Microsoft has posted on its education blog about an upcoming event. Set for November 9 at 9:00 AM PST, and titled “Reimagine” Microsoft is planning to use this as a moment to discuss what’s next in education from the company.

Microsoft says this 45-minute event should “address gaps widened by the pandemic.” More interestingly, it also mentions that the event will talk about “ways to tackle challenges with innovative technology, and share best practices to support inclusive learning.” The webpage for the event suggests that IT, School leaders, and educators should attend.

According to the blog post, other topics Microsoft expects to discuss at this event include “new and existing solutions from Microsoft Education.” As usual with Microsoft events, there also will be industry influencers, educators, and special guests speaking. Even Grammy and Academy Award-winning artist, actor, author, and activist Common will be in attendance.

When it comes to Microsoft employees speaking at the event, you can expect to see Paige Johnson, VP of Education Marketing at Microsoft, as well as Deirdre Quarnstrom, Vice President, Education Experiences at Microsoft. Mike Tholfsen, Joe Cicero, Corey Lee, and Rachel Williams are other Microsoft employees mentioned as speakers for the event.

It will be interesting to see if Microsoft could use this event to reveal the rumored 11-inch low-cost laptop for education customers. A new Windows 11 SE version, as reported by Windows Central, could also be something Microsoft might possibly announce at the event, too.

We’ll be following the news closely next week so be sure to stay tuned to OnMSFT for more. In the meantime, you can add the event to your calendar.
