Microsoft Planner will automatize the process of generating status report emails thanks to a new feature that will be added to the platform in the following months.

According to a recent entry to the 365 Roadmap, the new feature in the Project Manager Agent helps you create status report emails automatically.

The emails include essential details like key milestones and upcoming tasks and ensure stakeholders stay informed without much effort from users.

It also saves users time while keeping everything transparent and aligned across projects.

Here’s what Microsoft says:

A new feature in the Project Manager Agent automates the creation of status report emails for your plans. This capability streamlines project updates by generating concise, accurate, and professional email summaries based on your plan’s progress, key milestones, and upcoming tasks. With this feature, you can ensure stakeholders stay informed effortlessly, saving time while maintaining transparency and alignment across your projects.

Microsoft will preview the new capability in April, with a general rollout scheduled for the next month, in May.

The capability will only be available on Desktop devices.

In other news related to Planner, the Redmond-based tech giant has recently increased the number of tasks and dependencies with the premium plan to 3000 tasks and 2000 dependencies, ensuring that all organizations can use Planner, regardless of their infrastructure.
