We’re now just a few months away from the release of the Xbox One X, but many enthusiasts are already wondering when Microsoft will open preorders for the new console. Last week, we spotted that Microsoft updated the Xbox One X store listing with an invite to follow the Microsoft Store Twitter account for pre-order details, and we also learned that the console may have just passed FCC clearance.

Today, Xbox head Phil Spencer confirmed that gamers won’t have to wait much longer to pre-order the console. Answering a question about the subject on Twitter, the exec shared that “all approvals are done,” and the team is now working on the official announcement (via Windows Central):

It remains to be seen if Microsoft could open pre-orders next month during Gamescom, as this will be the first time that the Xbox team shows off the new console in Europe. The Xbox One X will be released worldwide on November 7, and we’ll let you know as soon as we get more details about preorders.
