microsoft store performance

Microsoft Store is an integral part of Windows, and it seems that Microsoft plans to make it even better than before.

The latest build for Windows 11 has been released, and it brings many performance improvements to the Microsoft Store.

With the build 26100 the Microsoft Store just got a lot faster

Just recently, the Windows 11 build 26100 build was released for Windows Insiders on Canary and Dev channel, and this build improved the performance of Microsoft Store significantly as Neowin writes.

Microsoft’s Sergio Pedri showcased these improvements on his Twitter profile:

As you can see, Microsoft Store has no splash screen, and no loading indicator, and the startup feels almost instantaneous.

Microsoft’s Rudy Huyn also showcased improvements on his Twitter, and according to him, product pages are loading about 40% faster than before.

The new store also manages entitlement and licensing better which results in the Buy button appearing 1.5 times faster than before.

This is a great improvement, and if you’re on the Dev or Canary channel, be sure to give the new store a try. Speaking of Insiders Preview, you might notice that Microsoft removed the build watermark, but this is just a temporary change.

In case you missed it, the new Dropbox beta app just landed on the Microsoft Store, so you might want to check it out.
