Microsoft Teams will soon display chat information

Microsoft Teams is developing a new feature, Show Chat Info, with Feature ID 398956, that allows you to check chat information within the platform.

Here is what the roadmap site says about the feature:

Chat users can have access to contextual information including members, pinned messages, shared files and links and entry point to contextual search from this canvas

This aims to provide contextual insights, including pinned messages, members, shared files and links, and access to contextual search, all within the chat canvas.

The feature was added to the Microsoft 365 roadmap on June 5, 2024, and is scheduled for general availability rollout starting August 2024.

The feature will be available to all users worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant) cloud instances, including DoD, GCC High, and GCC environments, irrespective of their geographical location.

Furthermore, the feature is available on various platforms, including web, Mac, and desktop versions of Microsoft Teams.

To conclude, this feature can be useful for users as they can locate specific information efficiently within their conversations.

Microsoft will be adding four new things to Microsoft Teams in July 2024, including hiding inactive channels, Presenter Toolbar, expanded gallery view, and the ability to export Q&A; read these articles to learn more.
