Microsoft Teams Will Add Loop Meeting Notes and Branded Reactions in 2026

microsoft teams new features

Microsoft is constantly improving its software, and the company has some interesting plans for Microsoft Teams, so let’s see what Microsoft has in store for its users.

Meeting Notes for Instant Messages and Branded Meeting Reactions Coming to Teams

Teams meeting notes are powered by Loop, and they will become available for instant calls and meetings, similarly to those that are started from Meet now. This means users won’t need to schedule a formal meeting in advance to take advantage of structured meeting notes.

Since Notes are Loop components, users will be able to create and collaborate on their meeting agenda, notes, and action items in real time. Everyone involved in the meeting will be able to contribute, as long as meeting settings are configured to allow this. This makes it easier to keep discussions organized and ensure that important points aren’t missed.

Notes will sync across all places they’ve been shared, so the entire team will be able to access them on any device, whether they’re using Teams on desktop, web, or mobile. Of course, notes can be edited and shared right from the Loop app in your web browser if needed, making them accessible even outside of Teams.

Another upcoming feature is branded reactions, and with it, companies can now add their visual identity to meetings. Admins will be able to upload custom reaction icons, and they will be instantly available to all participants, helping organizations reinforce their branding during calls and meetings.

Both of these features sound interesting, and they strive to improve collaboration within teams by making meetings more interactive and organized. These features are currently in development, but according to the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, they should start rolling out in February 2026.

As for other planned features, Copilot is coming to Outlook Classic to help with meetings, so keep an eye out for it.
