Microsoft Teams, which is set to become the main virtual video-focused platform following Skype’s deprecation later this year, will be getting some major UI changes that should make it easier to navigate the platform moving forward.
In three separate entries to the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, the Redmond-based tech giant plans to enhance Teams’ context menu by allowing users to share apps from the app bar via right click.
Allow users to right-click and share apps directly from the app icon on hover, while using the app.
Teams will also enhance the unfurl links capability with new options: ‘Add’ and ‘View details’, when installing apps and agents. At the same time, apps ratings will also appear on the unfurled links for shared apps. This way users can quickly review the ratings of the apps and agents before deciding to install them.
All of the three enhancements will be released in April 2025.
Speaking of AI agents in Microsoft Teams, Copilot will create summaries of transferred calls in the platform. Users will be able to keep track of essential aspects, and calls can be quickly reviewed later.
