Microsoft Teams background image

If you find your Microsoft Teams meeting’s background image boring, we have some good news. According to the latest entry in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, the company will be enhanced to support custom background images for the new VDI solutions.

What does this mean? Well, you’ll be able to change your background with Teams virtual templates or have it branded with your company’s logo, especially if you have a Teams Premium license. But you can also replace the background entirely with any image you want by uploading it through the Video Effects and Settings option.

This way, you can personalize your Teams experience and make the meetings more bearable. Here’s what the entry says:

If users want to change what appears behind them in their video meeting or call, they can either blur their background, use Teams virtual background templates, or with a Teams Premium license, they can change their Teams meeting background to a branded logo or image specific to their company. With this new feature, now users on the new VDI solution for Teams can also replace their background entirely with any image they want by uploading it through the ‘Video effects and Settings’ option.

Speaking of personalizing the Teams experience, alongside choosing your own background image, Microsoft reportedly allows people to show/hide their Discover feed in the platform, meaning you’ll no longer have to be bombarded by content and tasks you don’t want to see.
