2. Use the Windows Services app

1. Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog box.
2. Type services.msc and click OK to open Services.
3. In the Services Manager window, locate the Nessusd.exe or Tenable Nessus service.
4. Right-click on it and select Stop from the context menu.
5. Wait for the service to stop and close Services.

1. Press the Windows key, type cmd, and click Run as administrator.
