According to phantomofearth, a post on X, Microsoft is about to release a new Settings section for Windows 11. Microsoft has not officially announced or mentioned it in the release notes, but you can use it in the latest Windows 11 preview builds from the Dev and Beta Channels.Â
It is turned off by default, and Microsoft is rolling it out using Microsoft Store updates. Go to the Downloads section and click Check for updates, and you will get the Windows Advanced Settings component.
How can I enable Advanced settings for Windows 11?
If you want to use the feature, follow these steps:
- Download ViVeTool from GitHub and unzip it to an accessible location.
- Launch Command Prompt with administrator rights and locate the folder with ViveTool files with the CD command.
- Next, type the following command and hit Enter:
vivetool /enable /id:56005157
- Restart your computer.
Once you log in, press Windows + I to open Settings, then navigate to System>Advanced to view the new settings page. The For Developers section has been replaced by the Advanced Settings page, which contains more features than before.
