New Windows 11 Release Preview Build Fixes App Launch Issues, Broken Notifications & Muted Audio
The Build 26100.8521 and 26200.8521 is out in the Release Preview Channel
Microsoft has just released Insider Build 26100.8521 and 26200.8521 for Windows 11 version 24H2 and 25H2 respectively. The company notes that the new builds fix a few issues Insiders have been experiencing in Release Preview after installing previous build released under KB5089573.
Here’s what Microsoft mentions in the changelog for the new builds:
Updated: 19 May 2026 – Updated build numbers, fixing a few issues impacting Insiders in Release Preview after the previous flight, including:
- Fixed an issue resulting in the audio volume being unexpectedly muted on certain devices
- Fixed a Windows Push Notification service (WPN) hang, which could lead to some apps not launching and notifications not working.
