Nintendo Announces Indie World Showcase for Tomorrow
Nintendo is kicking off March with a fresh showcase dedicated to indie games. The Nintendo Indie World event is scheduled for March 3, 2026, and will stream live on Nintendo’s YouTube channel at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET.
The showcase will reportedly run for roughly 15 minutes and focus entirely on games from independent developers. That means no news on first-party Nintendo titles like Zelda or Mario. Rather than that, you can expect updates, trailers, and announcements for the Switch 2 and Switch platforms.
Nintendo holds Indie World events once or twice a year, giving smaller studios a spotlight to reach a global audience. These showcases often highlight unique gameplay ideas, creative storytelling, and surprises from indie teams building for Nintendo’s ecosystem.
For fans of indie gaming, this is the event to see what’s coming to the Switch family. With Switch 2 already in circulation, the event may also hint at how new hardware will handle next-gen indie experiences.
The livestream will be available on Nintendo’s official YouTube channel, so viewers can tune in early and catch every reveal as it drops.
