Nintendo’s Zelda-Themed Switch 2 Console & Pro Controller May Have Just Leaked
The Legend of Zelda fans may have something new to obsess over. Images reportedly showing a Zelda-themed Nintendo Switch 2 console and Pro Controller have surfaced online. The custom hardware appears be launching to mark The Legend of Zelda’s 40th anniversary. It also comes as Nintendo readies to release the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake for Switch 2.
Nintendo’s Zelda-themed Switch 2 console and Pro Controller surface in new leaked images
As seen in the images shared by X account Centro Leaks, the leaked console reportedly uses a darker dock with gold detailing and a prominent Triforce design. The Joy-Con 2 controllers appear to use green accents, giving the system a distinctly Zelda-inspired look.
The Pro Controller reportedly follows the same black, gold, and green theme. A Hylian Crest appears prominently in the center of the controller. The images also reportedly show a 40th anniversary Zelda logo. It features an 8-bit version of Link, connecting the hardware to the franchise’s early history.
Ocarina of Time could be driving the timing
Nintendo has already confirmed that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is coming to Switch 2 later this year. The remake recently received an ESRB rating, adding more fuel to the upcoming release. That makes a Zelda-themed Switch 2 especially interesting right now. It could potentially launch alongside the remake, although Nintendo has not announced such a bundle.
There is also no official confirmation that these leaked images show final retail hardware. The designs could still change before Nintendo makes anything official.
If the leak is legitimate, Nintendo may have another major Zelda hardware reveal waiting in the wings.
