OneDrive is introducing a new capability called Media Mode that allows users to easily find all their media content (photos, and videos) within a single view with a single click, according to the latest entry in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap.

The new capability is set to be released to OneDrive for Web this month, in February, and it might be part of the new UI experience Microsoft released to the platform a few days ago.

While the Redmond-based tech giant will release some confusing features to OneDrive, most of them are quite useful and intuitive, meaning the company wants to make OneDrive as easy to use as possible.

The cloud-based platform will also debut Copilot soon, and users should be excited as the AI tool will be able to summarize, scan, and recognize from a plethora of document formats out there.

As for the new Media Mode, we don’t know how it looks, but as soon as we have a glimpse of the new feature, we will update this article. However, Microsoft says it will be placed to the left nav of OneDrive for Web, so the button will be within users’ gaze.

We’re adding a Media node to the left nav of OneDrive for Web which will allow commercial customers to easily find all the photo and video content stored in their OneDrive in a single view.

The new capability will surely become a favorite among OneDrive users as it can grant them easy access to every piece of media they store on the platform.

What do you think about this new capability? Are you excited for it?
