Outlook for Mobile emails

Outlook for Mobile (which includes Outlook for Android and iOS) will make it easier for users to compose emails by allowing them to minimize the compose window and multitask in the platform.

What exactly does this mean? You’ll be able to minimize your draft emails and quickly access them again from the message list or calendar view. By doing so, you’ll be able to get the information you need from the other parts of your app while still composing an email.

So, for instance, if you use the Calendar section of your app to store important meetings, you can now access it to use that info to compose your emails. The capability won’t transfer your email into the Draft section. On the contrary, you’ll still be able to access it exactly how you left it.

Here’s what the entry says:

Outlook will help you compose emails more quickly and efficiently by allowing you to minimize your draft emails and quickly access them again from the message list or calendar view. This means that, while composing an email, you can easily get information you need from your calendar or other emails and easily get back into the draft you are working on without ever having to go to the Draft folder.

The new capability that lets users write emails in the platform in a less frustrating way is coming to Outlook for Mobile in January 2025.

Speaking of which, Outlook will also employ Copilot to schedule meetings for you automatically. With it, you’ll be able to use the Calendar section of the Outlook app more, so you’ll need this new composing ability in Outlook for Mobile.
