The Super Bowl took place over the weekend. As the Philadelphia Eagles won over the Kansas City Chiefs with a 40 to 22 score, the new scorebug also won… at failing to impress the people, with most of them thinking it was designed in Microsoft Paint.
FOX Sports: The NFL debuted the new score bug on X (formerly known as Twitter) for the Super Bowl, and the reaction was not positive. On X, many users have started to joke about it (and good ones, too, I might say).
However, things are a bit different on Reddit: the community thinks Microsoft Paint was used to create the new score bug for the Super Bowl. The scorebug’s vivid colors and size made many believe it was either too big, minimalistic, or careless.
Many believe FOX used Microsoft Paint to design, which is a bit unfair, as good designers would use Paint to make great designs. Plus, Paint’s new AI capabilities would have a word to say.
I made the Superbowl Scoreboard graphics 20 minutes before the game started and all I could find was a laptop with Microsoft Paint. AMA
Either way, the network might listen to the feedback and introduce a new scorebug next time. If not, well, I guess everyone can do it.
What do you think about it?
