Xbox’s partner handheld with ASUS, also known as Project Kennan, may have just leaked. The device in question is the ASUS ROG Ally 2. Folks over at 91Mobiles first spotted the listing for the gaming handheld on an Indonesian certification website.
Later on, VideoCardz found an FCC listing for the Wi-Fi module included in the two devices. That’s not all, the FCC listing also leaked photos of both ASUS ROG Aly 2 variants, and one of them features a dedicated Xbox button.
Microsoft and ASUS’ Xbox handheld appears in leaked images ahead of launch
The leaked black Xbox-branded handheld closely resembles the regular white ROG Ally 2, except for a small button above the D-pad bearing the Xbox logo. This same button is blacked out on the white model, which might be removed or replaced later on.
Designs of the leaked Xbox and non-Xbox handhelds include dual USB-C ports on the top and reshaped grips that look thicker and more ergonomic than the previous ROG Ally. The FCC listing has also leaked some specs of both Xbox and non-Xbox variants of the handhelds.

Both versions include a 7-inch, 120Hz LCD screen — similar to the original ROG Ally. There’s a powerful 8-core AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme chip with a 36W TDP. The standard model gets a less powerful 4-core, 20W chip. With regulatory certification underway, it’s likely that ASUS will make the devices official very soon.
We expect the official unveiling could happen at Computex, which kicks off May 20th, just a day after Microsoft’s Build conference. Not to forget, Microsoft is also working on three prototypes of next-gen Xbox controllers.
