1. Run the printer troubleshooter

  5. Click on Printer.
  6. Click on the Run the troubleshooter button.

2.  Add the printer driver

  1. Click on Start and select Settings.
  2. Go to the Printers and scanner tab.
  3. Click on Add a printer.

  5. In the Find a printer by other options window, select Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings option.
  6. Click Next.

  8. Click the drop-down menu and select File.

  11. Under Generic, you will see a number of PS printer listed.

3. Update printer driver

  1. Press Windows Key + R to open Run.
  2. Type devmgmt.msc and click OK to open the Device Manager.
  3. In the Device Manager, expand the Print queues section.
  4. Right-click on your printer with the error and select Update driver.
  5. In the next window, select Search for updated driver software automatically.
  6. Windows will look for any pending update for the driver, then download and install the driver.

4. Restart services

    RPC
    SSDP
    UPnP
  4. Right-click on RPC service and select Stop.
  5. Right-click again RPC service again and select Start.

  7. Next, look for HTTP service.

  9. Click Start, type cmd, right-click on Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.

5. Disable Windows Firewall

  2. Click on Updates and Security.
  3. Select Windows Security.
  4. Click on Firewall and Network Protection.
  5. Click on your currently active network.
  6. Toggle the switch to turn off the Windows Firewall.

Turn off antivirus

  1. Click the show hidden icons button (small arrow button) in the taskbar.
  2. Right-click on your Firewall icon and select Disable temporarily.

6. Run system file checker

     sfc /scannow
