Also, as a reminder, please follow the steps below in the order they are listed in order to minimize your debug time.

  5. After the device starts go to the Settings feature again and see if it shows correctly this time.

2. Run PowerShell

  2. After the search has finish right click or hold tap on the cmd icon.

3. Update your OS version

If you’re enrolled in the Windows Insider program, then update to the latest Windows 10 Preview build if you haven’t already. Using an old Windows 10 build is one of the main causes for this specific type of error. The same is valid for non-Insiders. Make sure that you’re running the latest OS version and install any pending updates.

4. Rename the Immersive Control Panel folder

The Immersive Control Panel folder is usually located at this address: C:WindowsImmersiveControlPanel to ImmersiveControlPanel.old. Locate the folder, right-click on it and rename it. Once you’ve done that, go to Start and launch Command Prompt as Admin. Enter the sfc/scannow command and hit Enter in order to create a new ImmersiveControlPanel folder. Restart your computer and check if the problem persists.
