If you have been waiting for the PlayStation Plus Premium August 2026 lineup, we have one confirmed game to share with you. Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams is officially joining the PS Plus Premium classics catalog this month. Sony confirmed the PS2 action RPG during its June State of Play. The full Extra and Premium lineup, however, is still expected to be announced separately.

Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams arrives on August 18

Sony previously confirmed that Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams would join the Classics catalog in August. The game is expected to become available on Tuesday, August 18. That date also lines up with the next major PS Plus Extra and Premium catalog refresh.

The August release is particularly interesting because Dawn of Dreams originally launched on the PlayStation 2. It was also the final mainline Onimusha game released before the series returned years later.

Sony has only announced this one Classic for August so far. That makes it the main confirmed Premium addition heading into the next catalog update.

This month also brings some departures

As previously reported, nine games are scheduled to leave the Extra catalog on August 18. The list includes Dead Island 2, Unicorn Overlord, Earth Defense Force 6, Harold Halibut, and Space Crew. Speaking of the current lineup, the August Monthly Games are already available. Dying Light 2, Big Walk, and Signalis joined the service on August 4.
