fallout 4 next gen xbox

Fallout has been in the spotlight recently after the release of the TV show, and we even got a next-gen release of Fallout 4.

The release was followed by some issues, however, Bethesda decided to chime in and give us more information about them.

Fallout 4 next-gen on Xbox isn’t bugged, Bethesda says

A few days ago, we wrote how Quality Mode isn’t working in Fallout 4 next-gen version on Xbox. Many users reported that switching to Quality Mode doesn’t affect the framerate, leading them to believe this feature doesn’t work.

However, as Game Rant writes, that isn’t true, and the feature works as intended. Apparently, on Xbox Series X, both Quality and Performance Mode run at 60fps.

This was even confirmed by Bethesda on its X account:

According to Bethesda, the difference between the two modes is that Performance Mode is more aggressive in lowering settings to achieve 60fps.

This wouldn’t be an issue if Bethesda had disclosed this in patch notes, but in the end, all that matters is that the game works as intended on Series X.

On the other hand, PC users weren’t as lucky as Fallout 4 next-gen brings widescreen issues. Speaking of Fallout, we got some fresh rumors stating that Fallout 5 might come sooner than expected, but this is just speculation at the moment.
