As August is coming to a close, the Office team has penned a new blog post to recap all the new features that Office 365 subscribers can now use. One of the most important addition is co-authoring in Excel, which is now available for all subscribers using the Windows version of the app. The new feature lets you see at a glance where others are editing in the same workbook.

In addition to co-authoring in Excel, AutoSave in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is now available on Windows for all Office 365 subscribers. If you previously lost your work after forgetting to save or encountering a crash, you’ll probably welcome this new feature.

Microsoft Teams also picked up new features for Office 365 for Education customers this month, including OneNote Class Notebook support, enhanced assignments, improved IT control and more. We invite you to read our previous post to learn more.

Next, the Office team is rolling out today a rich profile experience in Outlook for Windows. “By tapping into the Microsoft Graph, the new profile puts the most important information at your fingertips, including relevant files, conversations, and group membership,”  explains Kirk Koenigsbauer, corporate vice president for the Office team.

Lastly, Yammer, Microsoft’s enterprise social networking service has a brand new iPad app with an updated design, universal search and more. In addition, a new Yammer activity report is now available in the Office 365 Admin Center. “This new view highlights the number of existing communities and the activity happening within each, helping to identify best practices and drive adoption across your organization,” explained Koenigsbauer.

Otherwise, all Office 365 subscribers can expect monthly updates with new features, bug fixes and improvements.
