Sling TV is now available on Chrome and it also supports both on-demand and live content.
Sling TV before Chrome support
The streaming service has been available for PC before it got the Chrome support but this used to be possible only via a dedicated application. By dropping this requirement, the platform can now compete better against more dominant players such as Netflix which have had browser support for a longer time.
Attracting more customers
Extending the streaming service’s availability on more platforms is the key to attracting more clients, and this is why Sling TV is opening its doors to people who use Google Chrome.
Sling TV on Google Chrome is fast, intuitive and very easy to use. Customers will be able to start live and on-demand TV with a simple click seamlessly. They’ll also be able to stream their favorite content on Sling.com without the hassle of logging in to another device or downloading plug-ins. “Sling customers can stream their favorite can’t-miss content, like live NFL games or the next episode of ‘Game of Thrones’ on Sling.com.
Sling TV’s browser player is available for the latest version of Chrome, and it includes features such as Continue Watching or My TV. Users also have access to their settings and parental controls via the player. In the near future, we will see more features rolling out.
You can provide feedback about your viewing experience on Google Chrome to the Sling TV product team by emailing [email protected].
