Sony is taking on Microsoft and Nintendo in a big way this week. The company just announced a major price drop for the PlayStation 5 (PS5) as part of its annual Days of Play sale, which kicked off yesterday (May 28).

You’ll be able to grab a PS5, bundled with Call of Duty 6 at a dropped price, for just $399.99. That’s a massive $120 off the usual price.

This year’s Days of Play sale is hitting at the perfect time. Nintendo’s next-gen Switch arrives June 5, and Microsoft recently bumped the price of the Xbox Series X from $499.99 to $599.99. Not exactly the best time to be shopping for an Xbox.

Sony’s also offering some other decent deals:

  • $50 off the PS5 Pro
  • $50 off the PS VR2
  • $30 off DualSense Edge controllers

While Sony usually rolls out summer deals, this one feels a bit more targeted towards Microsoft and Nintendo. With rivals either hiking prices or launching new hardware, Sony’s hoping to stay ahead by making the PS5 more affordable for everyone else.
