Spotify is the preferred music app for millions, and the company has started testing a new AI driven tool called Prompted Playlist. The feature aims to give users more control over how their playlists form and evolve.

What Does The Prompted Playlist Feature Do?

Prompted Playlist uses AI to create personalized playlists based on rules you set. Spotify says the feature listens to your ideas and uses your creativity to influence how the algorithm works. It adapts to your logic and responds to your prompts while using your entire listening history, starting from the first track you ever played.

Here’s how to try this feature:

1. Tap Create.
2. Select Prompted Playlist.
3. Write your custom prompt.
4. Tap Generate Playlist.

You can update playlists daily or weekly to keep your music fresh. Spotify also shows context for recommendations, which helps you refine prompts and tune results. An Ideas section includes popular prompt templates so you can create playlists instantly.
