Microsoft has officially announced the arrival of Spyro Reignited Trilogy on Xbox Game Pass starting November 12. The popular remaster of the classic PlayStation-era Spyro games was teased by Xbox Game Pass earlier in the week with a video clip featuring a chest from the game.
The trilogy, which features three of the original Spyro adventures with redone visuals and quality-of-life improvements, will be available across all of Xbox Game Pass’s platforms. This means that subscribers can play it on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PC, and via the cloud.
Originally released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One back in 2018, it has since come to PC and Nintendo Switch, too. We can’t say we’re too surprised to see it come to Xbox Game Pass, though; not only has the arrival of the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy been teased for Game Pass, but Activision has been weirdly stealthy about the game’s release on PC and other platforms, too.
The Spyro Reignited Trilogy has had a bit of a tumultuous time in terms of its availability: it was announced for PS4 and Xbox One, then came to PC and Switch later, but it was then de-listed from several digital storefronts, including Steam, only to return to Steam in 2021.
Now, though, it’s finally coming to Xbox Game Pass, so those who haven’t yet had a chance to play through Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon might soon be able to do so as part of their subscription.
