Star Wars is coming back, and we have every reason to be excited!
Early in the 2000s, many of us used to play Star Wars games for hours at a stretch. When they were discontinued, it seemed like the end of an era.
Now, Aspyr Media is bringing back the good old days of Star Wars. In a recent announcement on X (formerly Twitter), Aspyr Media confirmed the release of Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection on March 14, 2024.
The collection comprises Star Wars Battlefront, released in 2004, and Star Wars Battlefront II, released in 2005, along with bonus maps and more.
The best part, the game supports both online and offline modes and it will be a multi-platform release. So, you can play Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, and Steam. Though there’s official confirmation if the game will support crossplay.
What’s new in Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection?
Star Wars Battlefront:
- Includes a bonus map: Jabba’s Palace
Star Wars Battlefront II:
- Bonus Heroes: Asajj Ventress and Kit Fisto
- Bonus map: Rhen Var: Harbor, Bespin: Cloud City, Yavin 4: Arena, and Rhen Var: Citadel
With online support for 64 players, you can fly legendary starships, drive your all-time favourite vehicles, and enjoy the expanded Hero Assault on all ground apps. Lastly, the collection includes the 2-player split-screen mode, so you can relive those past experiences with friends!
The Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection is available for pre-order on the Xbox Store, Steam, the Nintendo Store, and the PlayStation Store. On pre-orders, you can avail a 10% discount and get the game at $31.49.
