Starfield will be getting 'a lot of exciting things' this year, according to Bethesda

According to Bethesda’s latest post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Starfield will most likely receive a major update this year. When asked by a fan of the Starfield community why there have been few announcements regarding the game’s next update, the studio said the team has been hard at work, and there are a lot of exciting things planned for 2025.

However, Bethesda hasn’t specified anything, so we’re open to speculation. The studio might unveil a new expansion in the following months, with a release at the end of the year.

Even though the game was released in 2023, its first expansion came out last year, and if we take this approach, Starfield will see an expansion every 1 to 2 years.

Shattered Space, the game’s first expansion, was released in October 2024, a year after the original release. It introduced new areas, ships, and a new campaign to the game. The expansion was free for all Premium users, and the following expansions will most likely be free.
