Steam Next Fest June 2026 is Now Live With Nearly 5,000 Free Game Demos
Valve has officially kicked off Steam Next Fest June 2026, opening the doors to nearly 5,000 free demos for upcoming PC games. The event runs through June 22, giving players a chance to sample some of this year’s biggest releases before the Steam Summer Sale arrives just days later on June 25.
Thousands of free demos are available right now to try
Unlike traditional showcases, Steam Next Fest focuses entirely on hands-on experiences. Developers release limited-time demos, host livestreams, and answer player questions directly through the platform. The sheer scale of this year’s event makes it difficult to know where to start, but several high-profile games are already drawing attention.
The Sinking City 2 is up for trial with a one-hour demo ahead of its August 18 release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The Lovecraft-inspired survival horror sequel was recently showcased during Summer Game Fest and marks the latest project from Ukrainian developer Frogwares.
Other standout demos include Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Valor Mortis, Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2, EMPULSE, 1666: Amsterdam, and The Guild – Europa 1410. EMPULSE, the upcoming multiplayer shooter from 1047 Games, may be particularly worth a look. The Titanfall-inspired title launches later this month and promises wall-running, giant mechs, and no microtransactions.
However, with thousands of free demos available and the Summer Sale just around the corner, this might be the best time all year to discover your next obsession. Here is the complete lineup on the official Steam Next Fest page for you to check.
