Surface Laptop Studio May update brings audio and display fixes

Microsoft released a May 2024 firmware update for Surface Laptop Studio, and it brought a lot of other changes, including game improvements and fixes related to audio, network, and display, which will enhance the performance of your device for several games.

Here is what the changelog mentioned on the official blog says:

  • Improves the audio quality of calls and recordings.
  • Provides a more enjoyable and smoother gaming experience for the latest games including Mortal Kombat 1, Lies of P, and Starfield, enabling support for 8 new G-SYNC.
  • Fixes problems associated with the second monitor display flickering and not working when the device is connected to Surface Dock 2.
  • Addresses issues related to recovery of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections when device is on Standby, enhancing connection reliability.

To install this update, your Surface Laptop Studio must be running on Windows 10 October update, version 22H2 or higher, or Windows 11  version 22H2 and newer.

You can download the update from the official website; the update size is 1.4 GB. So far, no known or reported issues or bugs are associated with the update.
