The Blood of Dawnwalker Gets 60 FPS Performance Mode on Xbox Series X, PS5 & PS5 Pro at Launch
The Blood of Dawnwalker is getting a major console performance upgrade before launch. Developer Rebel Wolves has confirmed a 60 FPS Performance Mode for PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X.
Dawnwalker gets three graphics modes on launch day
The Performance Mode will target 60 FPS across PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X. It will launch the game’s launch patch on day one. The developer says the mode was already being tested before its announcement. However, the team wanted stronger testing results before promising the feature publicly.
That changed after players pushed for clearer performance details. Rebel Wolves says the feedback showed how important a 60 FPS option was for the community. The announcement follows earlier console performance information shared on Friday. At that point, Performance Mode was still being tested.
PS5 Pro gets extra visual improvements
On PS5 Pro, players will have three options. Performance targets 60 FPS, Balanced targets 40 FPS, and Quality targets 30 FPS. PS5 and Xbox Series X receive the same three targets. Performance aims for 60 FPS, Balanced targets 40 FPS, while Quality targets 30 FPS.
The PS5 Pro version will also receive overall visual enhancements. The developer has not detailed those improvements yet. Xbox Series S takes a different approach. The console will target 30 FPS, with no separate Performance, Balanced, or Quality modes announced.
The confirmation gives console players a clearer picture before launch. It also means players can choose between smoother gameplay and higher visual quality on supported hardware. Rebel Wolves has not described the exact resolution targets for each mode. For now, the frame-rate targets are the main confirmed difference between the options.
